What is a teaser bet?
A teaser is a parlay-like wager where you can move the spread or total by a fixed number of points (6, 6.5, 7, 10, or 13) on each leg in your favour. The trade-off is significantly reduced odds. All legs must win for the teaser to pay.
Are teasers profitable?
The classic ‘Wong’ 6-point NFL teaser through key numbers (3 and 7) is one of the few mathematically positive-EV bets in mainstream sports betting. Outside that specific edge, teasers are generally negative EV — bookmaker pricing accounts for the points move.
Why do different sportsbooks have different teaser odds?
